A year ago on Mother's Day, we met Geneva at the SF SPCA. At the time, she was scrawny, hesitant, and terrified of cars. She'd been found living as a stray in Merced County, so who knows what she'd been through (we later found a BB gun pellet lodged in her foreleg). But over time, she has gained so much confidence, growing into a gentle, strong, healthy, and loving part of our family. Geneva's favorite pastimes now include playing with other dogs, hiking the East Bay regional parks, chasing turkeys, belly rubs, and sitting on the top of a big hill to watch the world around her. Looking back, it's hard to imagine life without our wonderful, sweet dog. Thank you, SF SPCA, for helping us to find her.
